Our Candidates for Southfields

Our Priorities for Southfields

Sheila Boswell

Sheila has lived in Wandsworth for over 20 years and brought her son up here as a single mum.  She understands the daily challenges single parents face juggling work and childcare and paying the bills each month.  Sheila has been a councillor before, in Tooting Ward, and was Labour spokesperson on Education and Children’s Services.  She worked for Save the Children and Oxfam for over 15 years both in the UK and internationally.

Guy Griffith

Guy has lived in Southfields for nine years. After a successful career in Engineering, he is running as a candidate in the council elections because he thinks that the council should focus on the needs of its residents rather than those of foreign investors.

Guy has a long-standing passion for technology and is keen to share his knowledge and expertise in this field to benefit others. He has a particular interest in environmental issues and is passionate about utilising ‘green’ tech to improve the environment in which we live.

Outside of politics Guy has an interest in genealogy and has traced his family history back 25 generations. He is currently writing his first novel.

Sam Nicholas

Sam has grown up in Southfields and so has seen and been affected by the changes that have happened over the years in our community.

He finished his studies just a couple of years ago. As such, he is a great example of the typical young person living in London with all the struggles that are involved living here.

He has been an ardent campaigner in the Labour party ever since getting back home and wanting other people not to face the same struggles.

He wants to make sure that younger people are listened to by this council and that more is done for early years education, community activities for children and teenagers and better housing, rent and quality of homes for everyone in Southfields and Wandsworth.
