Sue McKinney

sue.pngI began my teaching career in my thirties after completing an Open University degree during my years as a Secretary.  Every day teaching was different and there were fantastic ups and a few downs but I ended up teaching in the Ashburton Estate a walking distance from home.  However, even nearer to home is my present job; teaching teachers of the future as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Roehampton.

As a result I have now worked in Roehampton for 10 years and have lived in Roehampton for 17, being married to Jim the Vicar of Holy Trinity Roehampton.

I understand Roehampton through my many contacts; friends, parents, the congregation of Holy Trinity and students I now teach.  I also believe there is a lack of fairness in Roehampton compared to other areas in Putney which I aim to address.  Education is my field of expertise and I would like to see all children have a fair start to life!
